New ProQuest Features
Just today, the ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health [off-campus access] database launched some new enhancements and features.
Reference Linking: This feature offers users the ability to easily view the list of references that are cited in a publication. In addition to viewing cited references, users are also able to view “cited by” references — these indicate other articles that have cited the article you are reading. By viewing these additional references, users are able to find related articles of interest.
Improved Browsing Functionality for Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Content: The JBI is a nursing institute that produces evidence-based nursing content, including systematic reviews and evidence summaries. While JBI content has been included in ProQuest for the past few months, better searching capabilities are now available. The opening screen includes links to JBI content under “Browse Evidence-Based Resources.” Also, users are able to limit their search results to JBI content by selecting “Evidence-Based” within the “Publication Type” drop-down menu.
